Welcome to Squidge's Beads! I'm so happy you're here. 

My name is Hansini, and crafting, creating, and surrounding myself with beautiful things has been such a joy. The name Squidge is a combination of squirrel and pigeon, an inside joke between my husband and me. He often jokes around that I have hyper focus like a squirrel with an acorn, but I have the curiosity (read: distraction) of a pigeon.

Beading has been an important outlet to express my creativity, de-stress, and do something for myself. I'm a newer mom and newer to New England, and crafting has shown me a new community and given me the opportunity to make new friends and explore the area I live in.

Each piece is handmade by me with beads that I source from small business, women-owned shops and vintage stores, and many are beads that have been gifted by loved ones. Each necklace has its own story and is made with love and care.
